I'm moving in a couple of weeks and would love to take pieces of both of these, but most of what I read say this isn't a great time to take pieces of bamboo (better before spring/summer growth). Do you think it can be done successfully? The textiles is similar to gracilis and I love it. It's a fairly big clump and would be harder to get at the bottom to dig than the eutuldoides viridivittata.
I just don't want to damage the mother plants. If I won't hurt the mamas, then I don't mind trying to get some even if it doesn't make it. Considering the work involved, would I just be better off to mail order replacements once I get moved?
Hope I can get some help from you pros,
Barbara
