Last year the fountain went in. It was OK, but I dislike "OK". For the last month or so I've been removing rocks, liner, casting concrete bases and pedestals, trying to figure out how to lift that little 450# basalt column out of the pond and up on top of the new platform, alone. Now, with my beloved at work, the neighbors away and the dogs 'guarding' the house, I put up a post and hung a 4X6 beam atop it, anchored to the arbor on the other end, hooked the chains up to the 'come-along' and hoisted the sucker up. (Harder letting it down easy than lifting it up) Put a watering trough in and ran the pump to see if I could get the water to run downhill, and holey moley Batman, it worked. Now it is time to do all the stonework, and that may take all Summer. The hard part is over and I can stop fretting.
