Can anyone enlighten me about the kind of mint I have? It forms a circle of blossoms just above every leaf set; it does not have a blossom stalk at the top. I thought it was peppermint, but it doesn't match any of the peppermint photos on this website.
I am sorry mybeau, but I am unable to identify your plant. There are a number of Mint species that have the flowers in dense whorls in the leaf axils, but they usually have more flowers per cluster and the flowers are perhaps smaller. Looking at your image, the open flower looks rather more two-lipped than the typical mint flower and I wondered whether it was from one of the other genera inthe Mint family
