I always direct sow the poppy seeds on top of worked soil in late November and again around december 21st.
I always till up a area of soil and rake the soil with a rake.
I put my poppy seeds in a salt shaker and sparingly sprinkle on top of soil and lightly water with a watering can.I never cover the poppy seeds. Coming spring you will notice lettuce like leaves sprouting.
