The stems that hold the flower buds on my poppies are rotting as they unfurl and before they can bloom...what am I doing wrong..too much water or some sort of disease????

could be too much water, useolose, but a picture could be helpful for the right diagnosis.

All the flowers are gone at the moment but if I should be so lucky as to have them start up again I will be sure to get a picture.
