While I was at the nursery ... I made the mistake of looking at all the trees for sale. I've always admired the Oridono Nishiki, and they had a nicely branched one about 6 feet tall that I'm interested in buying. The tag says sun/part shade, but can a tree that variegated really take sun? The place I had in mind for it is in a corner in front of a fence. It would get morning sun, mid-day shade, and some late day sun. I'm concerned as the days get longer and it gets more sun that it will burn. Anyone have any experience with this tree?

Thanks!
