Sadly, I have no idea what a malagna is. But, from what I've read on here, growing things from the supermarket might not work because they're always treated with some sort of anti-rooting/sprouting thing. However, if it was organic, you probably could...if one could grow malagna from a root...I'll have to find out what malagna is now...I'm curious! :) Hope this helps a little...if nothing else, you could just give it a try!
