Hi, Everyone! Thanks so much for sharing all your pics and ideas. We are in the midst of reorganizing EVERYTHING as we are refurbishing varies spaces around our little piece of heaven (15 acres). Lots of great ideas! I'm new to Dave's Garden and I LOVE it! I can access gardening, homesteading, artwork, trash-to-treasure and clutter-busting all in one site. I feel like I'm already among friends! Thanks, again. Robin

HAHAHAHA The lizard east bugs out there. I just hope he hasn't eaten the caterpillars I was supposed to be having on my milkweed. I haven't seen a single one this year. Could he be the reason???

I've dated guys that acted a lot like this...

I wouldn't be surprised if he was hanging around the milkweed just waiting for more snacks to show up!

Thanks for the welcome. I'll have to take some pictures to share. It's taken 6 weeks to get the garden back in order (after being gone for 2 1/2 years) and totally planted. Got half of it planted when we had beautiful weather in early May, followed by a few nights of freezing, followed by a drought, and now 7" of rain since Sunday. Zuchini and yellow squash coming in heavy already! I'll post some pictures of my paintings in a few days. I've only been painting a few years and since our home is so small, I don't have room in here for a studio. But got a lot of ideas for turning an old camper into my studio. It leaked pretty bad, so husband Al is doing some repairs on it first. My main problem is where and how to store my paintings, but still easily accessible. I have my paints on a wire cart, so I can move it around to where ever I decide to paint. I have a table top easel, because I prefer to sit while I paint, but only use it when I paint with oils. I mostly use acrylics. Al built me a really nice easel to use in 'The Tiki Hut' which is built in the front of the old camper...over-looking the pool and the garden. I like to have some of my art books, plants and nature stuff sitting around for inspiration. I mostly do landscapes. We were in Florida for 1 1/2 years and North Carolina for 1 year (Al was working there) so got some wonderful opportunites for sightseeing and inspiration. I also do art work on wood furniture. But put that on hold for awhile, as it's tough to haul around painted furniture that doesn't sell while traveling around the country!
Love your little lizard friend!

Thanks Robin. It sounds like you have been a traveling artist. I'd love to be able to travel around to see the US. There's so much to see and do.

Here is the whole sculpture... Miss Morphetta Nymph :-)

Janet,
Miss Morphetta is another beautiful piece of your work. Youse guys is flat out incredible. Words fail me. Penelope is happily overseeing the sunroom. She was somewhat 'lost' in the arbor.

Thanks Balvenie. She lives in my own yard. And thanks to the Everbrite, even after being outside all "winter" (3 really cold days), she's still just as pretty today. :-)

I'd love it if you would post a photo of Penelope, perhaps on her thread? Also, could you send me a photo of her in her setting. I'd love to include photos of our sculptures in their final settings on our website, if I ever get it done! :-)

Many thanks for your kind words. Connie and I have enjoyed each of the sculptures we've created. I feel with each one we've learned something new about our art.

Can't wait to see your paintings Robin. Be sure to start a new thread so they don't get lost within a thread. It makes it much easier to find things later on that way. :-)

Janet

Janet, love your metal scuplture! I haven't had time to work on any yard art, yet. Are you being affected by all that rain in Texas? Robin

We've had our share of rain. Nothing too much YET though. I'm just thankful when the Lord takes over the watering. :-)

Amen to the rain! After being in a severe month long drought, we finally stated getting rain to take over my watering chores. The temps dropped somewhat, too. Hooray!

Here's one of my paintings...

Oh Robin, that is just beautiful. I can almost hear birds chirping. Give me a glass of iced tea, a fishing pole and a couple of worms and I'd slip right into that painting. :-)
