I just installed a new pool and flagstone deck. I intend on boardering the deck with something to keep my St.Augustine lawn out from between the stones. Original plan was for Lirope but everyone in Baton Rouge seems to use Lirope so I feel its over used. Besides, I myself have three different varities in my own yard. So I would like to use something else. I have considered Ruellia, (mexican petunia,Dwarf varieity) but afraid it may become to tall and leggy. Dwaft lily of the nile also but I have no experice with that variety. Does anyone have another suggestion as to works good in zone 8B. I have also used Amerilus before but found it difficult to not damage it with the lawn mower.
