I feel like a proud Mommy. This is my first year growing Dats. I got the seeds from Robinznest, a DG subscriber, and I have nurtured her and now she's all grown up. My dbl. purple hasn't flowered yet, but she has some buds. I'm so excited! My DH came in and told me @ 10pm last night that my baby had finished opening. As its the first, we kinda watched it slowly unfurling all day, and then VOILA! TWO BLOOMS!!

You give me hope, momo125. I have 3 have have grown from seed, and 6 that were started by a friend. None even have buds . . . but I will hang in there and hope for the best!

OK, now answer me this. All 3 blooms so far are at full show at 9:30pm. is this normal?
A flower will be tight in the morning, but by 8pm, partially untwisted and by 9:30, full show.
