I have a garden that is fenced in and has chicken wire that begins 8 inches below ground and goes up to 3.5 feet. Something is getting in and eating blooms off of eggplant, squash and pepper plants. It also ate the almost ripe cherry pepper off one plant and some very young squash. Something also ate the top leaves off my one remaining sunflower plant (I think it might recover). There are some shallow holes dug around the garden, otherwise, I see no evidence of what is attacking. I've used bug spray and hot pepper spray. What else should I be doing? Thanks for any help.
I would not know what is doing all that. Slugs and pill bugs are eating things here. Some very tiny little worms are eatting my cabbage. I kill some each day and there are more the next. Keep watching to see if you see anything. Take care...gn
Thanks for the input. I'm using some bug spray and that seems to keep the bugs off, at least I haven't seen any activity. Yesterday, a friend of mine recommended sprinkling blood meal around all the plants and the perimeter of the garden. I've done that, we'll see what happens!
