Exactually what type of tree is this? My husband just bought me a tree for mother's day and it says on the tag Crimson Queen Japanese maple (acer palmatum dissectum "Crimson Queen" on the tag but is much more upright than any of the others I have ever seen. I have always wanted a weeping maple and i'm afraid its's the wrong tree!

They don't always weep right away - depends on the graft and other factors. I don't have Crimson Queen. Did you look it up on PF? Mine is definitely Orangeola and I highly recommend it. It looks even better this year.

I did finally look it up and it is a Crimson Queen. I also look up your tree as well. They are very beautiful trees. I may be buying one of those in the near future. I appreciate your time geting back to me. I will send more pictures as it progresses. Thank you.
