what's the going rate for square bales in your area? I'm hoping to buy some tomorrow and its up .50 per bale to $3.50. We're not in a drought area this year but it seems that everyone hereabouts planted corn...so...Plus I feel silly but I do not know how to evaluate the quality of hay...its billed as alfalfa and I just assume that I don't want to see a lot of grass/weeds in it?
I have a big west pasture that has poor fencing - trying to figure out how to cobble fencing together (and gates) so I can take the 3 goats out there. Second problem is that there is no shade to speak of...hmmm. thinking outloud here...I have a few cattle panels...suggestions?
