I have 21st Century Phlox planted and they are not much larger than when I purchased them in little cellpacks at the garden center. We have had a hot and VERY DRY spring and summer; but I water faithfully, recently added mulch to help, and have fertilized several times.
These were supposed to be easy; addapt to any weather/soil conditions, and not need deadheading. I have to be very careful watering, as the slighted mist knocks the flowers off. The last minor rain shower we had left them totally flowerless. They are in front around a fountain and looking very sad. The plants around them are doing fine...any suggestions?
