In the interest of promoting more posting of more floral arrangements, here is another category that seems to be a popular idea. "Tea Time" as a theme suggests arrangements that either fit in a tea cup or have something to do with the nice, relaxing feeling of sharing tea with a friend. Post as you wish.

Hi BDale, great idea to have a few things on the go, it gives people a chance to make something
for different themes and the good thing is, once it's made, we can re-use the flowers !!

Terri, one might wonder what does your arrangement have to do with tea time? Well, guess what? There is such a thing as chrysanthemum tea!

One of my dreams is to attend a real life Japanese tea ceremony in Japan. But for now, I will have to settle for this. Just a simple arrangement of hollyhock florets and pentas.

Karma thanks for the link, it says I have to ask Dave, y'know the 'main man' around here.
Us English are too reserved and I'm too shy to ask.!
Anyway if he ever comes to have a look at our flower show he will see the mistake I made!.

I haven't got any 'tea time' arrangements yet, but I'm working in it.

I'd say "tea for two" but I'm a committed coffee drinker. This is too simple to qualify as an arrangement, but I liked these two "Goshen Calico" Dahlias and figured they could share a cup. Snipped these from the garden this morning as another massive rain shower was just starting, just like yesterday morning. Every time I head for the garden to cut flowers these days the skies open up.

something like that. I thought we may have seen some T.pots by now!

nice shape for all round display and cute cup. Thanks so much for joining in.

Why, thank you!

The little pink ones are tiny Zinnias, the Ageratum is the blue fuzzy and the yellow is a single Lantana. Then there is the tall (too tall now that I see it on my monitor) Salvia 'Victoria' spike. Other things in there would be a single snapdragon, Poke weed bud (hanging off the right side). The white that is too tall is the annual Phlox (and what you can't see is th eye which is the same color as the ageratum)

The container is actually not a tea cup, but the sugar bowl from the Peter Rabbit set my kids had when they were little...I was going to use the cup, but then I saw the watering can on the side of the sugar bowl and picked it up instead.

I have very few pink and purple flowers -- I mostly have reds and oranges, so this is made from all the flowers that don't match my garden. LOL!

Tea cup arrangements are extremely difficult because of the huge width of the cups, so what you're seeing is actually a collection of tussey musseys jammed in a cup. They are held together with tiny rubber bands from my daughter's orthodontist!

Suzy, I admire you for taking on this challenge. I didn't realize how difficult it may be because my teacup is so narrow and little that it would fit one flower if I wanted it to. What an inventive idea to use the rubber bands...I will remember to do that when I work with an opening that is too wide. The colors you used are very sweet and pretty for a delicate tea cup. Thank you for sharing...it is very lovely. Bdale, too funny!

I am afraid yardqueen is over and out tonight... It was at least 103* today if not more and the heat index was higher than that... no relief until MAYBE Friday or the week end... I have White Ginger (Butterfly) blooming and 'Mountain Magic' Brug also, but they are too large for a teacup...even an oversize one!

Thank you! It is a get together for my DH 1 brother and 4 sisters, their spouses, some of their kids and some grandkids. Some were too far away. This is because his youngest sister has cancer and she is still able to get around, but does not think she will be around for long. I hope I am not depressing you with this information. She has had cancer for several years now. It is a slow growing one and is a rare one. She has taken chemo, but it does not work on this one. They are all comeing to my house, because it is the largest one and they like to come here.
