Congratulations to all of parrot heads!!! we came in sixteenth place out of 142 threads during the past week...With U/W gardens 3 coming to an end...here is the next installment of living life by the drop, or bubbles...Here we have a tube dwelling worm known as a Chorallimorph, only out at night feeding on organisms that happen by...this would make a cool hat if it weren't so small...

Thanks to all who contribute to this forum...it surely has become a positive force on DG's...

Good luck to us on this number 4

aurabest,
john

Ann - I agree! And after spending the wee hours looking for meteors...I am in a spacey kind of mind. John - that is just fantastic, as usual my friend. A poet's soul and an artist's eye...

I certainly can't post anything that beautiful, so here is a goofy one. Dive buddy Eric holding a sea cucumber, or as the kids call it "whale poop". Sometimes we come upon fields of these critters - just everywhere! Do you have them out there John?

Sick but true...so when someone tells you to stop talking s*^t, you can tell them you are related to a sea cucumber...goodnight kids...fun to catch up again...see you tomorrow...

i liKe YoUr LiTtLe DaNcE Chris! It sure is nice to have him back! Here is another unusual factoid about sea cucumbers. Many varieties have a fish that lives inside them - a type of pearlfish. These fish cannot (or do not anyway), live outside of the host...if you take them out of one, they will quickly move into another...very odd.

John's picture looks like something out of a 60's black light poster. Very psychedelic.

I wonder what the pearl fish gain from their symbiotic relationship with the Sea cucumber and what it gives to the host in return. Very odd looking critters!

The dragon hasn't happened yet. It's been too hot to work outside in Connie's shop. At 7:30 this evening, we saw that the temp was 100. We got to watch it change to 99. By golly it's getting cooler! HAHAHAHA

We did make something really cool though. It's a recycled Fox Purse. You can see more photos and read about it here. I don't want to "hijack" the thread so if you have comments, please post them there on that thread. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/759457/

I will post a photo to tease you though! HAHAHAHA In keeping with the theme so I don't get my butt in a crack, this guy might have swum underwater at one time. :-)

John, the opening photo of this thread is incredible! I love the way you've captured this beautiful animal. I hope your thumb is doing much better now. We're glad you are posting again. It was mighty quiet around here without you.

We haven't had a lot of luck underwater with a pod this large...they just take off! Then as soon as you're back on the boat, they return and yell at you a lot. Part of the folklore out here is that the large pods are rescue workers...the appear during storms and such like to make sure that everyone is okay...they have been known to help struggling swimmers and pull on ropes and buoys when danger threatens divers. So maybe these rescue dolphins don't want to "play" when they are working??? I just love to watch them...

John...post away! We won't know they are old! Your pictures are so glorious, that what does it matter if you took them yesterday or last year? Besides, posting underwater pics will make you feel like you are underwater without getting your arm wet!

The guys were going real slow...just fast enough to keep them busy jumping and twirling in the wake, but not fast enough to lose their interest. That may be why they stuck around so long, thought the boat was having troubles. I have known this about the dolphins here for so long that I had a panic once. We were in a boat going from Spain to Gibralter, and the boat stalled. The captain was telling everyone (around 100 people or so), that there should be no real problem, just had to let it rest (?), and if it wouldn't re-start they would send out another boat. Okay, no problem. Then the dolphins showed up and I thought we must be sinking! So hard to keep my mouth shut and not panic others...but JB knew I was scared...he kept trying to get me to watch them playing...I was afraid they were just waiting for the bubbles...glurgh, glurgh, glurgh...

Dave was picky - wanted a bio of all the writers...I dearly love that picture. Jb and I have been in some of the most romantic places on earth, but everytime we take a picture something went wrong. That is a studio pic that our Nina had taken just before Jb came out here, then she photoshop'd the background in. Any meat that can be ground, I have recipes for pork, chicken, salmon, beef, lamb...a mixture is usually best. Stuffed with mashed potatoes, or mushrooms, some are served with a brown gravy, some with a tomato based sauce...if you are really interested, I'm sure we can all come up with a favorite version or two to help you get started...but watch out! Squish all the ingredients together in a big pan and bake. It was originally made to stretch meat to serve large families by using eggs and bred crumbs as fillers. And there are vegetarian versions out there made with soy protien that I actually thought tasted pretty good. It was a big thing during the depression. It ranges from hot and spicy to mild and boring depending on what you add to it.

OHG. All I have to do is take a break to eat the lasagna and salad and you guys go nuts.
Obvious that the tension has broken...hallelujah. Sorry, terri, but meat loaf is nothing like stew...which is another favorite. Here, in the states, we call these dishes comfort foods. Always a good glop of mashed potatoes on the side. I prefer next day meatloaf...very fresh, soft white bread with lots of Hellmans mayonaise with healthy slices of...ta...da...meatloaf...made with 1# ground beef...not too lean, 1# ground veal, and 1# lean ground sirloin steak. 2 eggs, 1 cup steel rolled oats, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, 1 can Campbell's vegetable soup (condensed)...salt and pepper to taste. make into 2 individual loaves and cover with ketchup...bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until totally done...let sit for about 20 minutes before slicing. Then the best...refrigerate leftovers and use to make cold sandwiches following day. DH has been substituting the oats with Honey Baked Cereal that is very sweet...not bad at all.

It's so good to see this thread back in action. I've missed it.

I can't help but wonder how the undersea has fared with Dean's passover. Do you suppose those fish could hear him roaring??? Inquiring minds want to know!

By the way, I don't make meat loaf nearly often enough. I do love the leftover sandwiches. I also make a "ham loaf" with ground pork. The sauce used is mustard and brown sugar instead. I even through in a can of chunky pineapple the last time I made it and it was most excellent!

I started making preparations for the wedding, which is tomorrow. I made a crawfish size pot (we're talking WAYBIGO) of spaghetti sauce this morning. The house smelled heavenly all day long! I alway s enjoy spaghetti more the next day and that's why I made it ahead of time. Now, tomorrow, it will be leftovers! HAHAHAHA

I have no doubt the wedding will go just fine. It's just family and a couple of friends. This is my "no frills" kid getting married. I've just been a bit frazzled getting all of the details finished. I just hope we have some cool breezes and no rain.

Thanks Shari. It will be special for sentimental reasons. Hubby and I got married in his folks backyard.

I can clearly remember driving across San Antonio in my little VW Bug with his mother to look at some bedding plants. We got married end of April. While there, his mother found 2 nice trees. Don't ask me now what kind of trees they were. We put one on each side of the car in the back floor boards and let them hang out the windows. I remember driving across town with those trees standing up. We must have looked crazy to the rest of the traffic. I know we laughed all the way back to her home. :-)

I remember the morning we got married, the jasmine opening up on this big tree in the backyard. His Dad took photos and used the jasmine wrapped tree as the frame.

Hard to believe that was almost 30 years ago.

She's my no frills gal so wasn't interested in flowery type flowers. This gave me a chance to show off my beautiful coleus! I've been maneuvering my potted coleus around so that they'd be the background for the ceremony. Here's a photo of the right side of the center island where the ceremony took place.

I took advantage of being up and got my yard back to it's normal stage this morning. There were still chairs and plants moved where they didn't belong and I didn't want them to kill the grass there. It was much cooler this morning early than it is even now. It's so hot and humid these days.

Andrew came to me after the wedding and thanked me for all of the work I'd done. He really liked having all of the plants there. That made me smile bigtime. I think he's a keeper! :-)

I hope all is well in your all's necks of the woods... er... ocean...

Things have calmed down here. Hubby spent almost 3 hours cleaning up the shattered glass from my stove. So we went out to dinner.

I was going to fix Chicken Diane (though I really haven't got a clue how). I had it recently with artichokes and mushrooms and it was tremendously good! I am going to try and duplicate it... some day when my stove is back together.

I appreciate all the offers for seeds and plants and stuff. Not sure what I will need yet...i can't do much about replanting until this cast comes off and can use some tools...cast coming off on wednesday and the steel rods taken out...hopefully they wont have to recast me...i will go absolutely mad...(already half mad) time will tell...anyway, thank you all for your kind and most generous offers...I will let you know...seeds can be mailed to me...plants are rather difficult as there is a boat load of red tape for importation of plants...

this is a fairy basslet. it normally hangs out under ledges... it always orients itself with its belly to the bottom...when they are under a ledge or coral formation etc, they will be upside down as you look at them...it's fun to see hundreds of them all upside down...

Told Shari that I have seeds drying presently to send to her...she couldn't use them all so will be glad to split. Later today I need to separate and make a list so you may know if you are interested. As I have looked over my yarden this week I realize that I have many plants that originated in the tropics. We have the heat in Texas and if I am diligent with the water...they thrive...all the while thinking that I am developing native plants. For instance just outside my window are fern, 3 kinds of EE, banana, two ginger, hoja santa, canna, gardenia, hibiscus and more.

What a gorgeous garden you have...thanks for sharing your view with us...One of my problems is that there is virtually no shade here in my yard...not too sure how many of these would do here...The bananas and gingers will do great as I have a couple myself...one of the bananas did not survive Dean, and the ginger needs some help too...I have a plan for an area that I will screen over with 50% screen and many of the mentioned above should do well. I will include some orchids in this area, as well as bird of paradise, heliconea, etc...I will gladly plant whatever I get sent, and can seek advice on where to put them...you could always hand deliver them...we have plenty of room and Cayman Airways flies direct to and from Houston!!! I tried both cakes and can vouch for their yumminess! I don't like the real sweet icing that most wedding cakes are made with. We've all always loved red velvet cakes. When the decorator told me there would be filling and then told me what it was... well... how can you go wrong with that combo!

The punch was very good also. First time I have ever made punch. I'd bought some passion fruit juice earlier in the week and Hillary fell in love with it. I combined one 1/2 gallon of Passion Fruit Juice, one 1/2 gallon of Strawberry Breeze Juice, 1 large tub of Strawberry Sherbet, and 2 cans of 7-Up. Everyone commented on how good that was. What was leftover, I put into a pitcher and drank all day over ice. It was still good leftover!

You're making me hungry.

Zan, Because we had 35 inches of rain in 6 weeks everything is watered clear to China. Just a few things wilt down in the 95+ degrees and I am hand watering...full sprinkler system only once a week. I have found that EE and fern don't need near as much water as something that blooms. The gingers are turning out that way too. The hoja santa is one that droops in the afternoon and then picks up later in the day. You can't hurt canna...except with grasshoppers and they are pretty busy right now. Rather than restrict watering as every other community did last year in the drought, DeSoto raised the rates on a 3 tier basis...first tier isn't enough to wash the dishes. 2nd and 3rd will punish your wallet really bad should you decide to go there. Then the neighbors shame you for having a green yard when you should be conserving. Tried last spring to go to native Texas plants to because they are mostly drought tolerant. Then we had the moonsoon and killed 'em all by drowning the roots. Can never second guess Mother Nature.

John, no negative waves now...your thumb will be fine - better than new, no new cast...only positive thoughts!

Christi - How lovely!! Really beautiful! I just want to sit out there amidst your plants and statues and drink in the day...Are those rope lights on your patio? I have rope lights just like those on mine! Love the little guy in the hat - so cute!

Janet - every wedding has to have some glitch, or its not a real wedding. The Red Velvet is one of my favorites, and that sounded soooo good!

Now this pic will probably have to be blown up to be seen, but I thought it was pretty cool. The guy in the dark is a giant moray, and the other guys are White Cheeked Surgeonfish...the dance in a big circle as they swim...don't think I'd want to be that close to the Moray, though!

Don't make any part of your anatomy look like food, don't wiggle anything that might be sized up as dinner...etc...Moray eels have really poor sight and rely on vibrations to size up what is in front of them...a human hand is approximately the same size as a Blue Tang, Doctorfish, the above pictured Surgeonfish...if it wiggles in front of the 2 sensors on the top of their mouth..well...lots of really sharp teeth, all pointing slightly backwards...lightning fast striking ability, you will only do this once...on the positive side...once they realise that you are entirely too big to swallow whole, they will release their grip and you can bleed your way back to the surface!!!

this is a viper moray with a red banded coral shrimp...

Shari, the moray in your shot looks like our green moray. we have a number of different species here, spotted, gold spot, viper, green...do you kids get wolf's there???

Christi, I can thankfully say that I know this information from watching them hunt and feed, as well as being informed when someone gives a dive briefing and explains what might be seen on a particular dive...

as far as the house goes, we're getting there...leaving the shutters up, blocks and sandbags in one location, my friend helped move the beer fridge back to the den...we had a closer look at plant damage... the thryallis is toast! not salt spray tolerant at all...the silver buttonwoods however, look as though I fertilized them!!!

Salt spray was not something I had a clue about. Will go to plant files to see what the two are that you mention. Over my head. Very glad to know that you haven't had personal experience with the moray. After a storm such as Dean, does everyone pretty much go back to business as usual. Obviously it causes you to stay on your toes.

Hi everyone! ChristiLou...which one were you looking up? The thryallis or the buttonwoods? I couldn't tell. John, I had never seen a wolf so asked JB, and he hadn't either...don't know if they are not out here, or if we just haven't seen them. Can't even find a picture, but didn't you post one a while back? I'll have to go through the threads again...a mind is a terrible thing to lose.
Anyway, I thought I would post some little cuties to get the vision of an eel that looks like a wolf out of my mind...whoosh, scary in there! Here are some a couple of three-band anemonefish checking out the big guy with the camera.

I have a promise from JB to try to get a good pic on his next dive out to this particular spot...we call these gold spots "garden eels"...there will be hundreds of them sticking straight up out of the sand, like leafless flower stalks...then you swim over and shwoosh they are gone super fast. You are so lucky to have gotten that pic - although I'm sure luck had very little to do with it. Do they gather like this out there? It's really amazing to see!

Shari, Garden eels are completely different than Gold Spot eels. Garden eels are about the size of a pencil but longer...this gold spot pictured about is about 2 feet long and a couple of inches around...Garden eels are hard to shoot as JB is finding out...

edited to add that garden eels are dark brown to black in color, obviously the gold spot eel is not..

Thanks for the correction. My marine biology leaves much to be desired. But, the garden eels out here are nearly white - very lite tan and they have spots...not many - not like your
gold spots - but a few. Must be a different kind, and yep - skinny as a pencil! JB has tried a few times, but they blend with the sand so well, that they don't show up in the pic very well. We'll keep trying. Your Gold Spot is another amazing picture!

Thanks kiddo!! yeah, I have tried so many times to get a decent shot of garden eels and they hide when you get close, and , if you hang out and wait for them to re-emerge, you will run out of air before you see them...garden eels resemble turtle grass swaying with the currents...

Shari, love those pretty yellow 3 band fish. They are so vibrant!

John, your Gold Spot Eel is really pretty (as far as eels go! HAHAHAHA)

I remember years ago, fishing on Captain Clark's fishing boat at Corpus Christi (I think it was Corpus, might have been Padrea Island, can't remember for sure). I was about 15 at the time. Mom caught a huge drum (32# if I remember right) and all I caught was an ugly old eel. I thought I'd caught a snake. All I really remember was the cute guy next to me that took him off the line! HAHAHA

Your eel is much prettier than mine was! :-)

Christi, I'd love to hear about the play also. Flounder sounds wonderful! mmmmmmmmmm

Go to: Contemporary Theatre of Dallas.com...now showing...Social Security. Very good overview. One of the funniest they have done this year. Second year for us to have season tickets. Contemplating next year. The are probably 10 or more live plays plus numerous other live venues every night of the year. Thinking we will try out a few others.
Still look forward to "our" underwater thread everyday. The pictures of the sea are thrilling and I love all of you. I have a host of friends but we all know each other so well...great to meet new people. Oh wow! Is this full moon? Will have to go outside to get a good look.

Good morning all...sorry I went missing last night...my wireless has crashed and the hard wire had to be hooked up to Katie's for work stuff...I spent the time loading up the ipod with some music for the trip tomorrow.

I fly out in the morning and see the doc after lunch...Hopefully that will all go smooth and I can get on with physio on the hand...I will be there a few days getting all the exercises down for when I return to Cayman over the weekend...

I have planned to go to Florida Colors Nursery and catch up with Luc and Carol. Importing cuttings will be impossible but bringing seeds home should not be...they have so many beautiful plumies there and hope to get a bunch...I will take one of the Nikons with me to document the trip and try to learn what I can...

I will have my laptop with me so I wont be out of touch with my loved ones...Katie, Spike, all my tropical gardeners(this means YOU!) Have never seen any dger's post from south florida on here...might be fun to catch up at Florida Colors!!

Anyway, hope this finds everyone well, and if not, on the road to feeling good again...see y'all tonight..

askings@nationalgeographic.com with recommendations that they access DG and look at John's work. Went to the home site and found where to send a request. I hope I haven't done something illegal or unethical. Maybe if they get a lot of requests the likelyhood that somebody will look will increase the chances. Shari, sure don't intend to put JB's work down. It always, always thrills my soul. When they check out John can't help but see JB as well. He has his own website and all, incredible images...has been shooting a long time...personally, i don't think my stuff compares with his but beauty is in the eyes of the beer holder, i mean, beholder...in any case, I am flattered that you think my stuff is worthy of a shot and I would certainly jump at the chance if it ever arises! Thank you for contacting the National Geographic Society.

Our editors continually review the published work of top journalists
and
invite those whose work impresses them to send a portfolio. At this
time,
however, we have far more interested freelancers than we do
assignments.

If this sounds negative, I apologize. It is, however, a response
dictated
by a rather precise goal for the style of the magazine, coupled with
the
limited number of stories we are able to publish each year.

Thank you for your interest in the National Geographic Society and its

His photographs are mesmerizing and holding the attention of thousands

personal information is kept to a minimum. I'm not pc savey enough to
attach files of his photographs. Don't know just how off the wall this
request is but how else could you go about finding talent that has not
been

appreciate
a response as to what action may or may not be taken.

It was nice for them to reply to you so soon...I have sent samples to so many publications and some don't even bother to reply...i have a few ideas i am working on too, will send you some details about them upon my return to the island.

Got the cast off and pins out, that was sure pleasant! not. anyway, have a small bandage now as they didn't stitch me up after pin removal...just have to keep it elevated for a couple days...therapy starts Friday...cant wait as it is stiff...can't sleep tonight...wired up i guess...look for you guys when possible...

John, it is good to hear they removed the cast and didn't have to recast it. Did they mean you should elevate the keyboard to keep the hand elevated?

Therapy. UGH! But hopefully you will be over it and the stiffness gone real soon.. How long before you can don the air tanks and get back to the wild blue wonder under the sea?

John, I have visions of you laying on a motel bed with your keyboard up on your knees to keep you hand elevated with you chat with us. Please be careful and don't drop it on your nose! We need you to be crisis free for a while! Question: Are you PADI certified, or which?

I've posted this before, but in honor of John's cast removal I thought I'd post it again...happy little anemone fish wandering through the big blue:

I'm doing great Shari! And yourself? I miss John's spectacular photos also. Both of you are so lucky to have the best of both worlds, right at your "fingertips"!

That coral looks to be "home" to a plethora of aquatic life. I've always wanted to use that word and finally found a place I could do it! HAHAHAHA It reminds me of a piece of coral that I bought at an estate sale. I took notes on the pieces (there were 6-7) but now can't remember what info goes with what fossil. etc. Lordy that is so typical of me.

Funny thing...I used "plethora" in an article I just submitted yesterday! Some great words just don't get used often enough ya know? This woulldn't have been one you could buy...its probably 8-9 ft high on a 20 ft bed...and probably 7-8 ft across just on the mound! Probably damaged by an anchor a while back, which is why you can now see the different formations. One of my DH's duty's in the scuba club is to set out buoys for the divers to clip to so that this kind of thing doesn't happen.

Just reading about your home in the September 2007 issue of the National Geographic Traveler magazine.
A story called "America's Best Kept Secret."
"Few people know of our close ties to a spangle of barely visited pacific isles stretching beyond Hawaii to Asia's doorstep"
They have a dive photo of the shipwreck Tse Yuen Yui off Rota, in the Northern Mariana Islands - wow is the water ever clear! Sounds like a truly wonderful place!

So glad you are back with us. What a coincidence...trying to get John hooked up with National G. and here you are. Will have to get the magazine tonight. I know you say JB is the cameraman but are any of the posts your pictures from a while back?

Been trying to get the seeds laid out today. Don't know what some of them are. (hanging my head in shame). Only ones I really, really recognize are canna and read in one of your posts that those are plentiful on Kwaj already. Still time. Need you here tonight to assist the chef...one of your famous dishes would be just fine.

Should you decide to close this thread down...you just gotta come up with another one with underwater pics. We are addicted and have been patiently waiting for you and John to have a break. You are both so much more than just underwater pictures but they sure are a treat. Nuf said. LouC

About the clippers...would assume that there is a small population of people on the island that would use such a tool and probably not of the exact same ones around...just a thought...sort of tool around town and look for the landscape trucks. We have at least 25 different companies in our little 7 block community every week. Any of them could hike whatever they need from someone else and who would know. On the Dallas tv news just last night they were warning to keep your garage closed even if you are in the yard. $700. lawnmowers are just taking off all by their lonesome.

Gals,
Yes I am a diver, certified in BVI 1996, Advanced in Florida Keys 2004. Trying to coordinate with my dive buddy to take the Rescue Diver next year, our husbands do not dive...boo hoo. My husband and I do get the opportunity to travel a fair bit, so I always try and take the opportunity to dive if I can, at least twice a year, warm water only!

Fortunately or unfortunately, I have way to many hobbies and not enough time to indulge in them all!
I love photography, but to take the really great pictures like John and Shari's husband you need specialized underwater equipment (and have a good eye and be very talented!)
I am so distracted with all the beauty under the sea when diving, I am just happy when I find my way back to the dive boat on time!
But I love to see the great shots others take, and it makes me so want to get back down under (the water)!
I love the beauty of mother nature in all her forms, on land and in the sea.

Looking forward to following your next threads.

Having never seen one, that fella looks pretty real to me! He looks like he could swim out of the canvas and take a hunk out of my finger as I reach out to touch. HAHAHAHA 30 years is a long time to not pick up a brush. Some talents are born in the blood. You got it baby!!! :-)

Every artist I've ever known underrates themselves, regardless of their medium. Talent like yours deserves and demands to be shared with those that appreciate the craft and not "horded to yourself until perfect". Only one man ever walked the earth that was perfect. :-) Please don't take that the wrong way. It was meant with the utmost respect for your art. That goes for the photos as well here. Beauty is in the eyes of whoever is beholding "it". I see so much beauty here in these underwater threads!!! Just incredible, breathtaking beauty everywhere I look! :-)

The folks on the artisans forum are wonderful about encouraging (just when you need it) and even more rewarding, they give very honest opinions of the art you show. They are full of suggestions and honest praise from folks that KNOW how much time goes into the work. You'd be a welcome addition to the artisans forum. Don't let the name scare you off! Cath, if you have read much of the blabber in these threads, and not just looked at the pictures (with is perfectly OK too!), you will know that the triggers hold a special place in my ankle, um I mean heart. Your Orange-lined Picasso (type of triggerfish, not a comment on your painting), looks wonderful! Be sure you get those top teeth in...they are the scary part. Sorry I have not had enough time to read all the treads through, but yes did check out most of the pictures...just like a kid! Just got into the DGarden thing in July.
My painting is from a photo, from a dive mag. The caption is DREAM WORLD A wildly colored triggerfish seems to materialize straight out of the darkness off Tahiti. I thought he was just too cute! But no top teeth showing...

Cath, Janet and her sister make some unbelievably cool sculptures...she probably won't brag about herself, so I will.

No tattoo, just the scar from a bite! They are incredibly territorial when nesting, and one guy followed me all the way to shore, then bit me in about 4 ft. of water! Lil' monster! The bad part was that I was introducing a newbie to snorkeling, and she was terrified of the water. I was afraid she wouldn't go back in. She laughed and said "No, you were right, nothing in that water hurt me...they were after YOU!". She is now an avid diver, so I guess it worked out OK.

Cath,

I couldn't paint by numbers if I tried. I can't draw either.

My sister and I make copper sculptures. If you look in that forum, you'll see them. Just look for threads started by me. It was due to the encouragement of the DG folks that she and I started working on the sculptures. The pieces she'd made before that were very crude. -- her word. Here's one of our sculptures, Penelope, that was created for Balvenie here on Dave's. We basically created her right here on Dave's, at Balvenie's request.

Shari your trigger fish looks a lot like Cath's. :-) Cool fish!

Nothing's happened on it lately. With the wedding and then the trip to Georgia, it hasn't even entered my mind.

Those triggers sound like the "big fish with big teeth" of my nightmares! HAHAHAHA

What????? You mean to tell me that you are not Superwoman?????

When you have recovered enough to re-tackle the project, I will be interested in seeing the results...so pretty please keep me posted.

Not to worry re: triggers Janet - I will keep you safe!

HAHAHAHAHA Don't I wish I was Superwoman!!!

We're about to have a "monster" of a garage sale in a couple of weeks. Getting ready for that is going to take all of my energy for a while.

I never doubted that you'd keep me safe from the big fish with big teeth. :-) Thanks for the reminder though. :-)

Evenin' all...just having a sniff around and found this...maybe we should consider something like this for us island folk...and for those islanders living vicariously through this forum, we could combine a topside palm tree image on the front, and some underwater image for the back...will it cost prohibitive? most likely but would be fun to see everybody in one when we have the world wide bashment!!!! this is what another forum is doing...we could have a saying like...fins and fronds...fish and ferns...poets and dont knowits...i need a beer...

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/768051/

thinking outloud again...

Hi John!

Those are GREAT!!! I saw something about that the other day and am glad you posted the link so we could go see what they came up with. Great designs!

With all of the awesome photos that you all have posted, I'd have a hard time choosing any one shirt to buy.

HI Shari, I checked your link and that link goes back to the NE Gardening forum. After looking in the Tropical Gardening forum, I think the link you meant to post was this one.

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/768563/

to the T-Shirt thread in Tropical Gardening.
