Thanks echoes for checking it out. I have just started to plan a new garden, and will post pics in my diary under the tab "morning garden", as it will be the first garden I look at in the morning, and will recieve morning sun, through to midday.

Looks great for being so dry. When it gets dry here, everything goes dormant unless it loves the dryness.

we're just in the middle of some rain now, and got 300mm two weeks ago. I've just done some fertilising with chook poo pellets and hope the rain will water it in for me. Things are beginning to go green again and spring is definitely here. Oh, as for the new garden, well I've had a think and decided to finish and maintain the current ones instead. Always getting ahead of myself! I've just put in Beans, cucumbers, silverbeet and Zuchinni in the vege garden and am looking forward to fresh greens.

Beautiful place you got there! Are those Australorps? Pretty birds! Your whole setup looks quite peacful. It's so cool to see those Mother-in-Law Tongues growing in the ground.

Thanks Broncbusta, it is quite peaceful, although we are only 1.5 km of the main highway from Sydney to Brisbane, so when the wind is blowing from the east the hum of the traffic can be heard, but also the roar of the ocean, which is about 5 km as the crow flies.
The bird life in Australia is unreal, as dawn breaks there are Kookaburras laughing, Cockatoos screeching, Magpies warbling, ducks quacking, roosters crowing and all manner of other birds doing their best to keep me entertained. I love it.
My pictures really don't do it justice and to be here is a real enjoyment. Especially now as we are coming into spring!
