Also, do any night birds eat the slugs that feed on the mushrooms? If so; how do I attract them?

I was out before daylight trying to get a pic of the eclipse. No, moon. Too many clouds. I took photos of shrooms and slugs instead.

Never heard of birds eating mushrooms, but that doesn't mean they don't. Mice and squirrels do eat them, a lot, though.

Some birds will eat slugs, particularly ducks, but again mammals seem to go for them more than birds do.

Thanks Resin!

Sorry didn't mean to seem childish about slugs but I still have vivid memories of walking around as an older child at my parents house in barefeet outside and accidently stepping on them and squishing them! EWWWW!!!
