Thanks guys,...yes Loyd, the diameter is 12 inches. I`ve got another neat one on the way...with a little bit of tempered glass. It came out pretty nice. I`m grouting it tomorow or so, and posting it for you to see...
O.k Wuvie,...here it goes,...help me out a little...Thing is,...I don`t know which color to grout it !!! Can you see the pieces of tempered glass????? I now have it completely finished,..but it still needs grouting,...I don`t know whether to go light or dark : (
Ooh, I do see the tempered glass, I do, I do! Very nice!
Hmm. Which color to grout? Well, I'm no expert, but based
on a project I did last year, I would say a light color is likely
out of the question, or at least it would be for me.
I hope others will comment, as I wouldn't want you to take
only my advice. It depends on what you want the piece to do.
:-) You've been very busy, keep up the great work!
Thanks guys,...I dont know why,...but I`m leaning towards a dark color. I know it will absolutely stay nice with a light one too,...but I just feel that a darker grout is ment for this piece !!
I`m going to look into that sample board thing !!!
Wonderful clock! So whimsical and happy, must be influenced by living on a tropical island! My vote for your heart is also a dark grout...dk. blue or black? Will make those colors pop! Can't wait to see it! sue
Charmers,
I love it! I've been wanting to do a clock for a while.
I have some questions. What is your substrate? Where do you get your clockworks? How do you treat the back for accomodating the clockworks?
Hi,...I was gone for a long while,...I`m sorry,...I just had a ton of things to do. Over here we had school vacation ,...so I had like a dozen kids doing mosaics at the shop. They had fun,...but I`m soooooooooo tired !!!!!
I got those clockworks at diamondtechcrafts.com I think. And for the backing accomodation I let my husband router the back. Like a small square,...and drill a hole in the middle. So it sits neatly into place.
I`ll be posting a nice picture I did customize for a wedding.
