Hi All!

I just purchased this plant, not knowing what is is or how to take care of it. Upon bringing it home, some of the leaves started to yellow, and many of them fell off. Is this because it's getting used to the new climate? Any information on how to take care of this plant would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

It's a Schefflera http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/716/
Yellowing leaves often mean either too much or too little water, in this case your plant looks like it's much too big for the pot it's in, so I would try repotting it into a larger pot. What happens when the plant is much too big for its pot is that there are a ton of roots in there and not much soil to hold water for them, so it becomes practically impossible to give it the right amount of water.
