We have had for the last three years a Pacific Energy Wood Stove. This is the best stove I have had so far. It comes in various colors and textures (we chose a dark green with smooth texture, and is stainless steel so it is easy to clean and does a superb job of heating our entire 2000 sq ft house. But - we are in a ranch, so I am not sure about a two story, but for us this works great. The plus side of choosing this stove over others is the clearance. Due to its construction, etc., this stove needs little clearance from a wall. We have felt the back wall and find it is only slightly warm after using this stove for a continuous 24 hours. They sell inserts also.
