Can someone on this forum tell me what kind of azalea this is and where it would do best in my yard ...Location is Central Texas ...Zone 8 ... thanks in advance.
Jataylor: I don't know which azalea it is, but I am in zone 8 and have lots of azaleas, some very similar to yours in the picture. If you end up not being able to I.D. it, then I'd say go by the general guidelines that most azaleas like shade or part shade, acid soil, and good moisture in the summer months especially. Hope that's a bit of a help. :)

It looks more red than pink, so possibly "Red Ruffles". There are so many indica azalea cultivars, there is really no telling what kind it is. Like the above poster says, provide it with afternoon shade and it will be most happy.
