I've been reading about portulaca, which has volunteered in my herb garden and I really am loathe to pull up something that wants to grow! Especially since I've worked so hard at things that don't do well. So, I have found it's edible and extremely nutritious -- better than spinach for that nutrient I can't pronounce.
So... this is the kind with the 1 - 1 1/2 inch red, yellow, orange flowers, not the tiny yellow flowers. Are they interchangeable?
One place I looked also said it's marvelous for erosion control, so I think some is going to be mysteriously transplanted along the ditch that runs by my house...
