| Does anyone have an easy tastey recipe for the tofu burger. I am the only one who would eat it so I would also like to know if I can make up some to freeze. |

| Thanks, I did search for them. I found lots of recipes. I was hoping someone had a favorite one that didn't make 20 burgers. :) |

| I'll ask my boss tomorrow about any he has a variety of recipes he might know of one.
We have a veggie burger at work we do but I know it is made from veggies but it can be frozen
When people order it I pull it out of the freezer to make and we put a spicy hummas (that we make) on the bun.
I don't know if he would share the recipe ...he is kinda picky that way when he makes his own recipes up from time to time. |

| The only way I ever ate tofu and I really can't eat it.. it blows me up to badly.. but I used to marinate little cubes and spices and fake chicken bullion and then fry it for salad.
perhaps you could crumble it and use a fake beef bullion.. add some bread crumbs.. but not make it too thick.
or maybe you could add some seitian to it (that wheat gluten stuff you mix with water to make a meat substitute) |

| I talked with my boss and what he suggested was to take the Tofu and drain it over night to get the liquid out then you can flavor it like Georgart suggests with chicken flavor as the tofu will take on any flavor you put it with ...add some wheat or oat gluten to it other wise it will melt to a blob but I know he also adds veggies to it say carrots, onion, celery,
black beans and spices to the veggie burgers he makes at the restaurant.
I also know with what he makes he freezes them then cooks them in the microwave when ready to serve instead of using the grill cause they melt otherwise, but he doesn't' use tofu in them.
We have one gal that comes in to eat and she usually buys 6 or so frozen ones to take home to cook herself when she is in the mood for them.

yes beans are a good addition, My mom said as a child they would make bean burgers because meat was scarce. |

| makshi, do you specifically want tofu, or would an alternate veggie burger like a lentil or black bean burger fit the bill?

| I think Todd Wilbur's site has a garden burger. No tufu. I think it had mushrooms. His web site is called Top Secret. You might have to pay 79 cents.

| Thanks all. I am sure I will try some of the ones I found soon. Morning Star (I think it is called) has a frozer one I like pretty well. |
