Any tips of good books or internetsites for getting started with stained glass? Or basicly: any tips on how to begin? I`m a 'wannebe' in the art of glass! Love the pictures you show here :D

Perhaps the best way to start is by going to the place that sells the stained glass supplies. They should have classes for beginners as well as all the materials you would need. There was a very big store in Oslo that carried items that were handcrafted in Norway, a State operated store I think, with branches in many other cities. There might be a link there also if they have any stained glass.

If you can get to a store like suggested it will benefit you by being able to actually see and touch and converse in person with the staff.

I vividly remember the 'first' time I walked into a Stained Glass studio/store the surprise and excitement I felt.

Plus there was a class being taught at the time so I could see, smell and hear what was going on.

SG art is sensual to the artist and nothing compares with at least one hands on experience.

Afterwards you will look at what you find on websites with a more knowledgeable 'eye'.

Have fun,

Thanks! I would love to go to a class and a glass store. I have found one store in Oslo, will try to go there and have a look. At this time it is a bit difficult for me to go,and I have a vivid picture of my 4 kids running like a small herd of elephants in the glass store. lol
Husfliden is a big store for Norwegian crafts. Very nice but also very expensive.

I have found some websites and i get more and more facinated of the art. I have always loved glass.
