Easy... just copy the url (address at the top that shows you where you are on the internet) and paste where you want to post a hyperlink.

Have you tested it Deer? I have been doing it for years but for some reason lately on DG I try to copy and paste and it doesn't work. It's been sporadic ... sometimes it will paste and sometimes not!

I have to click on the link then do a select all, then copy and then go to where I want to paste it and click paste!

Yep, it worked, Lin. Thanks for the additional info, though.

Lin--I don't know exactly how you're doing it, I always go up to the address bar in my browser and highlight all the text that's there, copy it, then paste it into my post. I have never had a link not work when I've done it that way.

That's how I've always done it too, but the past few days I've had trouble. Yesterday I kept trying to do it all day on DG and it never worked until very late in the afternoon. I've been all of a sudden having posts disappear too and having to start over. Dave has a thread and I guess is trying to figure it out ... some folks are losing d-mails and posts they have made! Glitch in the system maybe?

Are you using IE 7? From time to time people have had problems crop up with DG and that browser. I've been copying & pasting links multiple times a day everyday that I'm on here (which is everyday!) and I have never had one not work.

Yes it is. If you're not sure which version you have, go to the "help" menu in your browser, and click "About Internet Explorer", that will tell you what version you have.

Nope we don't use Internet Explorer. I use Safari most of the time ... hubby keeps telling me to use Firefox ... maybe I will switch for awhile and see if there's any difference!

Anaid: I've learned never to be embarrased by asking a question. I can fiddle around with the computer and learn about some things on my own sometimes but there are times when I have to ask ... my curiosity just can't stand not knowing! And, I don't have a lot of patience when I can't figure it out on my own! LOL.
