OldNed Merritt Island, FL (Zone 10a) Looks like an Eastern Kingbird...not a bird-feeder critter (eats bugs). They'll be migrating out very soon.
gardenpom Melbourne, FL Thanks, Ned...never have seen one of those before!
pelletory Marlton, NJ Heres the page on them; look under Cool Facts to see some interesting reading on them.
gardenpom Melbourne, FL Thanks Pelletory. After Ned identified the bird I googled it and checked out a few links. One thing it likes to do is perch in the very tops of trees!
pelletory Marlton, NJ Just like Hawks; the better to see the other birds.
Resin Northumberland United Kingdom (Zone 9a) Yep, Eastern Kingbird.
After large insects, rather than other birds, though.
