Love that idea. Might start one here! Someone told me about the mini blind markers earlier this year and it works great!

You outdid yourself with this idea...even for a small community, this could be a real win win situation. The most fun I had two years was when my daughter was younger and teaching kindergarten...i volunteered two days a week and all the kindergartners got to grow a spring garden and a winter garden. We had raised beds with railroad ties donated by a local men's club...
The children got to take the veggies home...and the flowers...
