Needle Arts: Does anybody knit socks?

I'm not sure if she can still knit but she has lost the patterns anyways. Plus,I'm not sure we can still get the proper yarn here. Does somebody have a pattern? Or I can commission a few pairs at whatever price they are worth? The pattern would depend upon what kind of socks she wants. I don't knit for money, but there are people who do so. I have seen hand knitted socks for sale on ebay. Perhaps a yarn store in your area could direct you to some knitters who are willing to knit for a price. There's even a contact link so I can ask about perfumes or any other allergens that may be present. I have to be careful shopping for Mom, she is allergic to pretty much everything.
