We have all seen the faux hardwood floors like Pergo and others make. I was wondering if there is such a product as those snaplike pergo floors that look like stone instead of wood. My living room is all wood and so I want to replace the floor carpet with a stone looking product.I would prefer the strips like pergo comes in instead of vinyl tiles or ceramic tiles.I was hoping someone might know of any such product?

They do exist--unfortunately that's all I know, don't know brand names or anything. I know for sure they have tile shaped ones and I'm 99% sure you can get the strips like you're talking about too.

All the major laminate mfgs make a stone-look tile. They're all quite similar, so obtain samples either from the websites or local flooring stores to check the colors and appearance under your own lighting.

Another alternative are the solid vinyl stone-look tiles from Amtico and Metroflor. They don't have quite as much verisimilitude, but are quieter and more cushioned underfoot. They also can be DIY'ed.

Yes, and my brother is putting such a laminate in his home. I will get the brand for you.

Shop around, prices and quality vary a lot! But there are some that look so real you have to reach down and touch them to believe they are not stone!
