Well, here it is just barely beginning winter, and I'm dreaming of next spring's planting. There is one nice spot left that needs a tree, a JM of course. What this spot also needs is winter interest. Hence I need advice on a suitable coral bark. I'm in zone 5, the new 6 with global warming so I'm told. The soil is slightly acid and sandy and the tree will be shaded from afternooon sun by a Prunus subhirtella 'Pendula' (weeping Higan). What do you think of 'Sunrise" in this situation? Or are there others that are better?
