I just had an experience with Amazon trying to buy a Christmas present for my wife. I selected what I wanted, which included free shipping. So I clicked on the botton to buy it. ZOOM it was ordered and charged to my credit card immediately but I noticed there was a shipping charge added. I spent the next hour trying to find a way to cancel the order, and/or contact them, and finally came across a contact page. They don't make it easy to contact them. They asked for a telephone number to reach me, and immediately after I had typed it in the phone rang. It was a recording from Amazon that they were transferring me to a person. That person told me I should have put the item in the shopping cart instead of clicking - buy it now or whatever it was. I told her I wasn't doing any more shopping so didn't think I needed to go thru the shopping cart. Well, anyway, this buy it now button does not give free shipping. As far as I know, no where did they explain to get free shipping you must gro thru the shopping cart. I still believe any order you place should come up with a final page showing all charges twhich hat you must approve and agree to before the order is actually placed.
So if you'r buying from Amazon this season, be sure to put everything into a shopping cart and then check out. No more for me tho. Harold
