Our gas line/meter is on the west side of our house next to the furnace. We also have a gas clothes dryer in the same basement room. One time I inquired about bringing the gas line to the east side of our house so I could install a kitchen gas stove. We are on an old city lot so neither the lot nor the house is real wide. I was quoted something between $500 and $1000; mostly labor to remove ceiling etc. I was thinking maybe if we could bring the gas line along the exterior perimeter of the house it would be easier. Is that legal? A friend of mine is arguing that the quote I was given is crazy high. Comments, please.

say what? I have no idea what a LP stove is so off to google it. Mary

OK, I am back. a propane stove. Do you buy gas stoves and hook up to a propane tank or do you buy LP stoves to hook up? Do you know anyone who has this? thanks again.

you can get a gas stove that will run off of bottled Gas or Natural Gas piped in the cost of hooking up a stove with bottled gas will be a lot cheaper then runing a new line paul
