My dog has been having problems lately, how do I get rid of old vomit stains on the carpet?

I used to use a bit of water/dish soap and a vegetable scrubber, then blot it up with paper towels.

I also use the water/dish soap approach and that works fine, then I spray Febreze on the spot if there's a little odor left. I would imagine the stain removers that are designed to get out urine and other pet stains would probably work on it too.

I used, I think, three different kind of pet stain removers with no luck. Some Resolve solution in an Bissel spot cleaner machine.

Nothing worked. Remember, these are old stains.

When we moved to this house there was already white carpet in the bedrooms and with 5 cats your sure to have some stains...I pour hydrogen peroxide on the stain and they just about disappear.

I think so. If I remember correctly, it didn't make a world of a difference.

I've been using hydrogen peroxide and also hydrogen peroxide with baking soda and it's helped... some.

Search the professional cleaning places. They make products specifically for this problem, but I don't know the names. It's a standard product kept on hand in college dorms and bars where people tend to vomit.
