A perfect topic to remind those of us new to gardening of the do's and don'ts of fall and winter fertilizing, mulching and the use of compost.

At last the trees on our Mid-Atlantic lot are bare. The leaves from the cultivated and fenced area of the yard have been blown away into the forest floor, providing nutrients and protection for the Winter season ahead.

Thank you Paul for a clear and helpful article.
