| Well, a little ironic that the twelfth extension is on the twelfth month. The cafe' is literally gleaming with Christmas decorations. What a wonderful place to drink hot chocolate or Spiced egg nog. Please keep bringing in those decorations. We want gaudy, not classy. We want every shop within a mile radius to say, "What is that?". So HO HO HO and continue to make the wonderful cafe' grow.

| Good morning all. curlers, we just got a tiny piece of the last storm that hit you so hard. After the ice coated all the trees the next day it shot up to 45 and all afternoon the ice melted and the trees "rained" for hours. I hope you make it through the next storm without any power loss. We are expecting a Nor' easter tonight but I think they downgraded the storm for our area.
terri, the colors in the wreath with candle and apple are yummy!

I don't have time to comment on all the wonderful additions, but wanted to say to Curlers, I am sooo glad to hear you are o.k. Do you still have electricity? My thoughts are with you and your family.
Semper, what a beautiful piece of art. To me personally, such beauty, and yet, such heartbreak. I have never felt art so deeply before. Maybe just my emotions getting the better of me. You do have a true gift and I hope to see you go very far with it. I want to own a 'Semper' one day. |

| Thank you Traci, I'm glad you'll be around all week. Now that you mention it I think we a could use some warm drinks and extra firewood please.
Traci, If you were talking about the visual tone poem being heart breaking I will have to post the original poem and art " birdman /manbird clouded" comes from. It is in a handmade artists book combining the work of 28 artists called "The Exquisite Corpse". Each artist created 1 page of art on the front, text on the back, and duplicated that work so about 30 copies could be made. The art and text was cut horizontally across the center so any artists bottom page could be turned to combine with all the other artists top page, and visa versa. It is similar to the childs game and the Dada and Surrealist artist drawings (called the exquisite corpse) were the 1st person draws the head of a person, folds the paper (in a 4 part accordion fold) lettting just the end lines show and the next artist adds the shoulders and upper body and so on until you have a completed drawing. The completed artwork is a complete surprise collaboration.
The art page is birdman / manbird

| Hmmm... I see you are all digging deep to get to the root of things misty and terri.lol
The closest I have to a root is this large glass ball that looks like a tree with dark leaves on the outside and roots and trunk inside.
Nice to hear from you Traci.
Terri, the metal wall pocket container holding the peacock feathers and lavender ( I think your peacock arrangement is very New Years Sizzle) is a very inexpensive metal vase I found on a remainder table years ago and never used. It is on my studio door.

| I think my shopping is as done as done can be as I am flat broke! I was expecting to get my child support to finish off the kids shopping, but I guess all the workers went on an early vacation and didn't think of us poor folk that could use the money! ARGGGGGGG Even though I know the money was there on Wednesday, and not posted til tonight, so won't be getting it till after Christmas! I know the rules, and they do NOT follow them, so I sent them another 'reminder' email to 'remind' them that I know they are NOT doing their job! I didn't do Social Service work for 5 1/2 years for nuttin! Anyway, I will shut up about that! Sorry to rant, but now I am down about it.☻It is 11:37 PM here. |

mistygardener Saint James, MO (Zone 6b)
December 22, 2007 1:56 AM Post #4318860
| Yes it sure is, especially when it is garnished and you know when they get paid! They got audited not long ago, but I guess it didn't do any good. I think I may be complaining to the wrong people, so might just have to call the main place and get the right one! I will just have to make up for it after Christmas, but my oldest son's birthday is New Years Eve and he will be a whoppin 16, so gotta do that, too!
If I hadn't taken allergy meds there is no tellin how long I would be up, but it knocks me out. I will attach a map for you as I am directionally dyslexic and can't tell you to save my life!
