Our property backs up to a forest. This morning I found a sizable portion of the backyard torn up by what I am sure was a feral pig/wild boar that was rooting through the grass. I've been researching ways to prevent any further reoccurrences and haven't found any simple solutions. Most sources I found on the Web focus on trapping, hunting or fencing the animals, but they all conclude that these remedies are not fully effective and, even if they were, I'm not eager to try them. Does anybody have any recommendations for simple methods to keep wild boars from damaging lawns and gardens?
