Everyday I have walked by a gorgeous clump of miscanthus purpurascens (sorry if I spelled it wrong!). I waited till the seed was ready and I grabbed a sandwich baggy full. I have read that it is not a reliable producer of viable seed in my zone 5...but with the 23 consecutive days of 90+ degrees this summer I thought it was a good chance.
Any suggestions on how to go about doing anything with it or is it a total bust and I am seed thief for no good reason!
