| Hi, I sometimes sneak a peek and enjoy the posts on this forum. I am not a scrapbooker but I do use paper in my artwork. I was wondering if someone could suggest a good quality, heavy duty mat board/ paper circle cutter for a good variety of circle sizes. I would like to cut circles from a few inches to 2 feet across. | Great question, I too would love to know where to make circles as big as you are talking about. The only tool I use for circles and other shapes is the Colluzzle set which I love. I have traced larger circular objects from the house (to make larger circles), but I'm never quite happy with them because they don't look as perfect as the smaller ones the Colluzzle makes for me. |

| Wondering if you ever found your solution?
I can tell you I normally don't buy creative memories items due to their high cost. But in having bought store brand circle cutters in the past I was SORELY disappointed. I found them hard to use, easy to slip and mess up with etc.
So I looked up http://www.creativememories.com to find a consultant near me (they are everywhere!) and I bought my mat and circle cutters from there. It's pricey like I say and the size doesn't go up to 2'. I think the biggest one I have is about a 4" diameter. But I swear by their circle and oval cutter tools. :)
Good luck! |

| I have a curvy cutter which will do circles in many sizes. Here is what it looks like;

| Hi,
Thanks for the continued input. I have not found a good solution for the larger circles yet. |

| Could you use this and replace the pencil with a crafters blade?

| Thanks for the suggestion NisNJ. I can certainly try it, but I wonder what tool contractors use to cut with after they scribe the circle with this tool? |

| I don't know either. I was just thinking of attaching a craft cutting knife to the device and cut instead of draw with it. Of course, that idea might be neither doable or safe. And I don't know what material you are trying to cut.
Could you just attach a tack to one of a string and a blade to the other end, pull it tight and cut around? |

| NisiNJ, I wanted a heavy duty cutter so I could cut heavy board. With the regular blade it won't cut through on the first pass. Repeated passes causes the edge not to be as sharp as I need it. |

| OK, one more to consider. The description says it cuts heavy material, but the circles are not as large as you need. Maybe one more step in the right direction?
If only an extension could be built in.

I'm sorry, I really don't know much about the subject...I've just been Googling on your behalf.
Maybe you could get an answer in the handyman/home improvement-type forums? |

| Martha Stewart used a really neat multiple circle cutter on one of her recent shows. I went to her site to try to find out where to get it and it doesn't appear to be one of her products, but I'm sure she could tell/email you where to get it.
