I have a strand of miniature lights of an unusual size. The sockets are those of standard miniature bulbs. The length of the bulb itself is about twice as long as a "normal" mini light. The bulb ends were inserted into the top of a plastic Santa, approximately 4" long.

I've been trying to find a set of replacement bulbs (or, even complete strands), but am having no luck. Knowing the designation of the bulb's size would be helpful, but haven't been able to find that out, either. Standard mini bulbs are T1¾, indicating that they are a tube shape 7⁄32 inches (5.5 mm) in diameter. According to wikipedia, "Larger mini bulbs, which began appearing around 2004, are about twice this size, but are still very uncommon.". That description is vague, and fits two possibilities. I have commercial, mini-bulb sets at work, that are larger in diameter, but not much larger in length. So, that may be the bulbs referenced in wiki.

I've attached a photo of the "normal" mini bulb and the one in question, side by side. Any help with identifying the bulb designation, or where to get more, is GREATLY appreciated!

'T 1.75' is still kind of vague, unfortunately:

I would try to e-mail the person that runs this site:

The site is more vintage light oriented, but I bet they could help you. Good luck!
