I have enjoyed your community gardens series very much. I'm sure I'm not the only one inspired by them. Is this the last one, or will you show us more?

Is there any grant money that could be used to convert plots to tree growing lots where trees could be grown to the level where they could be transplanted all along the streets where cars generate carbon dioxide. Detroit as a carbon neutral city? Could Detroit even get to the point where it could sell carbon credits to smaller companies in Detroit? Would converting acres of vacant lots to a forest help out or is location important? It would be a lot easier to monitor than the Amazon rain forest.

Greening of Detroit is doing great work getting trees planted in the city.

Thanks for the great article Paul. Community Gardens are very close to my heart, and I am thoroughly enjoying all these different ones that are showing up in the articles...a little inspiration is sometimes all it takes!
