White stuff is usually green in the shade where it is supposed to grow, this has escaped into the sun and has turned white. It has acually become a major pest for me...

BHM, lovely pictures, thanks for sharing them with us. I really like the layered look you've got going on and wish I could just jump into those photos and relax with a book and a cup of tea!

Marcy, I think the 1st photo is King's Mantle http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/529/
I used to have it, but it seems to have vanished...
I like that white ground cover too!

That ground cover's name starts with an S...let me look it up...also called Goose Foot...mummblemmmmmm aha...SYNGONIUM. When we first came here I thought they were super and got all kinds from the mainland...pink, spotted...now considering nuclear bombs to get rid of them!!!!

I 'think' (therefore I am) that first picture is Thumburgia alata...also a rampant grower.

And...don't you love that big double hibiscus? Where did you get yours? i was sent one in a trade eons ago and it is one of the VERY best growers here...seldom gets that nasty hibiscus mite everyone else gets with all this water!!!!!

    Great garden Jenny!!!!

    Brave,

Do you know the name of the plant labeled "yet another"? I have one just like it, but with purple flowers --same leaves, same flower type, same little yellow seed pods. I had thought it was one of the assorted hybrid hibiscus I bought, but the more I look at it it's too different from the others for that to be an easy conclusion.

JP, aloha! I believe it's a Duranta. Blooms almost non-stop in our climate, pretty thing, but like most of the stuff in the garden it need a short back and sides quite often to keep it within bounds. I think it is also known locally as phesants eye - is that right Carol?

Stumbled across the hibiscus at HD of all places, don't know if it acually has a name (as usual no label), but you are right, nothing much seems to bother it.

Thank you for all your kind comments - you didn't get pictures of the weeds, or the half of the garden that is bare and waiting for the digger to finally turn up to dig the septic!

No need to study pics Christi, you will here in person soon! By the way I just read about the Garden Party - I am so sorry, I know you put your heart and soul into it. There WILL be another time!

Aloha Jeanne, you are more than welcome to some goosefoot (thank you Carol for the ID) but be it on your own head, I take no responsibility for the plague it can cause! I believe that it is often grown as a house plant on the mainland.
Thought you might like to see Big Beach. We went there Sunday morning to try to spot whales. We saw some but they were a long way out. The island straight in front is Kahoolawe which was used as bombing practice by the US Navy from the time of the second world war until a few years ago. It was totally devastated, but since it has been given back to the people of Hawaii, crews are going over to replant. They are still finding bombs and other unexploded military stuff even though the government was supposed to have cleaned up before it was handed back. Without the trees on the island there is nothing to catch the rain clouds so it has become very arid. It is a project that Frank and I are very interested in and although we can't, at present, go over to the island for the two week stints required to help with the clean up and planting, we do our bit with helping raise awareness and nursing along some of the native plant material that is needed.
The small island to the right is Molokini. A crescent shaped volcanic vent which has some good snorkeling (you are acually seeing the back side from this angle) Lots of tourist boats go there daily, but few go to the side in the photo which has very deep water and is known locally as a haven for shark!

The beauty just takes my breathe. Started to say cannot wait, but guess I will have to. hahahaha 33 more days. I have duranta and penta but afraid they might not come back. Tried to mulch and cover with frost cloth but will just have to wait and see. If they don't come back, I will just buy more and keep in pots so I can move them inside. Still petting the angels. Crossing my fingers that they will bloom this next season.

Aloha kimarj. The hibiscus is "Hibiscus schizopetalus". I don't see too many of them around here but I don't think they are at all rare.
The lushness is due to laziness on my part of not being able to get to pruning for a month! Plants get out of hand very quickly here. I don't mind the overgrown look at all, but I usually keep at least the paths clear because my mother is almost totally blind and it makes it very difficult for her to walk round, even with assistance.

Aloha Christi, I hope you are feeling better today after the big disapointment...
Only 33 days to go hmm? I am never going to have the paths weeded before you come - oh well! You are just going to take it as a wild, out of control garden - this is a typical weedy path that I haven't got to yet. Although I know some folks don't consider vinca weeds they seed like crazy here. Also got wild tomatoes all over the place...

Vinca is a weed? Not at my house. They sometimes come back in the spring and mostly don't. I just replant the next time. Please don't "weed". We are coming to see YOU. I am certain that you consider weedy would thrill me to death if I could grow it. Vinca is a great filler. always gives color when other things are beginning hide from the extreme heat. Sending back the Landsend swimsuit. Look just as bad in it as the one I already have. As you have said, this is a joyous time and not one to be concerned about my long-gone figure. hahaha. If I wear a mumu and don't take it off until I slip into the water...well, there you have. Can't see me anyway. And who is looking. Going to see Hawai`i. Tell you what - I am not going to worry about the weeds if you don't worry about the suit! You can go in the sea in anyting you want here - this is not a beautiful body beach area, all very casual and relaxed! If you feel more comfortable you can go in with shorts and a tee, as they say here - no worries!
Got us signed up for a Luau for Valentines night - the old Lahaina Luau - I think it's one of the best. Right on the beach in Lahaina. It starts with warriors blowing shells and the princess coming in by canoe from the sea to the beach at dark. The sound of the shells being blown always gives me goose bumps, or as they say here, chicken skin. They then uncover the imu oven and the feasting and dancing begins...You must make sure to bring plenty of film! I thought it would be a different way for you to spend Valentines with your sweetie!
Gosh, I wish you could all be here!

Sounds like a deal! I believe it is the comic strip "Cathy" where she is always in a dither about her annual swimsuit. You are right. When we go to the Texas coast we don't worry about a suit. Usually take our oldest, crummiest clothes because they will be ruined on the beach anyway. No fashion run-way there. Will drop the rediculous and not worry about anything. Joy...Joy...Joy.

The work and the sun made be totally giddy. Today i will do more RoundUP with Karmex and then...and then...and then...

Jenny...The Mucuna (RedJade) is a rampant grower and will climb ANYthing. We have it growing up a tall Ohia tree and have to trim it midway up 2wice a year or it would break the tree. It grows BEAUTIFULLY along a Terrace or on a Pergola where youi can cut it back to the old wood after it blooms. it blooms on year old + wood...so you will get beautiful flowers by hard trimming!!! Grow it on the strongest material you can...it will crack PVC pipe by wrapping around it!!!! FULL sun.

Puakenikeni loves full sun and is easy to control

The Tabernaemontana is one of my favorites!!!! The flowers are HEAVENLY scented!!!! In fact, i am going to airlayer mine today or tomorrow to plant MORE!!!

May I ask a question please (think I have already asked but forgotten) this pic looks like your 1st pic but mine is like rich purple velvet while yours looks like blue velvet ...would you know if it is the same? or is the soil to blame for the different tone I love them both, I promise to write the name down this time. I too have the "skeleton" or aka coral hibiscus (at the moment strangled by the snail creeper) as well as the Giesha girl duranta, etc of course no where near as exotic as your tropic stuff but pretty good

Chrissy - I didn't go back to look at Jen's, but yours is almost certainly Thunbergia Erecta...beautiful example of one, as a matter of fact. I wish mine looked that good.

Jen, when you said your shrimp plant went missing, you did mean the photo and not the plant right? I LOVE the pachystachus! Fell in love with them in Oz, and have been trying to grow them ever since. Mine are still quite small, and I think its because I have to keep them in a pot. However, I am determined! Your's are beautiful, as is everything else you posted.

I have several big pots of the schizopetalus. I have seen people try to shape them, but I think they are prettiest when just left to drape as they will. My DH goes out to the garden everyday to count the flowers and encourage the slow bloomers to catch up. Have you ever watched the flowers open? They are so cool! During about 7 - 10 minutes they go from looking like a little parasol, to the open lantern looking flower that they will be for the rest of the day. You have to catch them early to see the show.

    Yokwe everyone!

There are two pictures on the Tabernaemontana plant file that are NOT that plant...the ones put there by joebloom are of another gardenia with a very faint fragrance. The Tabernaemontana has a lovely cloves-like smell...LOVE it. There is a dwarf form as well which is a heck of a lot easier to grow in small places or in a pot!!! i am airlayering them like mad to have them all over the place!!!!

Tho' I am hardly an expert...I find that soil and nutrition must have a large job to do with flower color...blues are never the same...neither are any of the other colors!!! Even on the same brugs I will have nearly white to deep peach depending on the weather...

Pepper, hope you are feeling better soon!

Carol - I agree wholeheartedly on the Tabernaemontana! They smell sooooo gooood! When do you go on your exotic finding mission? (Woosh! You work too hard, girl!)

Leaving for Sabah (Borneo) on the 23rd...2 weeks tramping about looking for plants and stuff. Will stay in the national park in Kota Kinabalu. My companions are an 86 year old plant(hoya&orchid) collector and his wife who have been there many times and another couple who raise/grow orchids in San Luis Obispo...we were in the Philippines together in February of last year. Have decided to buy the anti leech socks there (gag) instead of make them here...and i have packed just enough for washing to washing. last year took too much stuff!!!

Really excited! Will post lots of pictures...tell lots of stories. We always have a fun time. Ted Green 9the 86 year old) has more contacts and more stories from previous visits...we laugh, take the wrong trail home, support the economy thru buying cold beer and cold cold water and laugh alot!!!

    Aloha all,
Hope you are feeling better from your cold Pepper, and you are getting rested up after all the holidays and young visitors Jeanne.
Chrissy, I don't believe my Kings mantle is quite as beautiful as your is but it is acually purple - probably looks bluer due to the photographer's poor efforts!
Shari, your brug looks great, won't be too long before your first bloom it already has a Y. Sorry, I misnamed it as Cupids blush. I was in a bit of a rush this am waiting for the workmen to come and put the last skim coat on Ashleys bedroom walls. She had painted them Kermit the frog green and they were that ugly 70's sticky out stuff - seemed easier to have them skimmed smooth, they were such dust catchers. Did get a coat of primer on this afternoon and they look SO much better!
Haven't watched the schizo open, must do that! Any tips on how to get more blooms on them? I find mine to be a shy bloomer, only two or three blooms at any one time. Yes, my shrimp plant went off into cyber space somewhere! I have a yellow, white and a baby pink shrimp, good bang for the buck, they bloom their little heads off all the time.
So glad to hear all about my new purchases Carol, thanks for the info. So glad I bought the taber whatsit, going to plant it at the bottom of the lanai steps where hopefully we will be able to smell it rather than way down the garden. Your trip to Borneo sounds so exciting, you do go to some neat places our Carol, although I think I would be a little squeemish about the leaches (shudder). Hope you have lots of fun and the cold beer sounds like just the ticket!
Warmest Aloha and Yokwe to all...

    Aloha, everybody.

So many people I know have been having fun here. What fun it is to have found this thread. Big hugs to everyone.

BHM, your garden is glorious. I love your pictures. Mahalo, mahalo. Don't prune, it isn't natural. I find it makes a garden look contrived. You don't want that in Hawai'i. Let it grow and be proud.

Plus, that beach picture with the trees, the water, the sand, OMG! I have got to get myself over to Hawai'i soon. I was so happy to read that the island of Kahoolawe has been returned to the people. Will they restore the island to its original beauty or will it be covered with condominiums? That would be such a shame. As a hawai'ian-at-heart, I can't help but rejoice when land is restituted to the people.

And you have a luau planned for Valentine's day. I love luaus. The one you describe sounds like so much fun, complete with a princess and all. I am officially jealous. I can blow a conch really loud and for a long time. Maybe I could secure a job there as conch blower. When you hear the conch blowing, check out the guys blowing them. I may be in the lot. LOL like that could happen.

Sunday, I am off on a 5-day cruise with my friend Pierre. We call this the 2nd annual guys' cruise. No wifes, no worries, wall-to-wall peace for a whole 5 days. We'll explore Cozumel by jeep in the morning. We'll visit Senor Frog's fine establishment in the afternoon, get big hats made out of balloons, drink a few yards of whatever it is they serve there and try to make it back to the ship under our own power. In Grand Cayman, we're going on a submarine tour in the morning and then we'll go frolic with the stingrays in the afternoon.

Coffee is ready. I have loads to do today because Saturday is already all booked up and Sunday, the guys are off. I include a picture of the ship we'll be sailing on: Norwegian Jewel.

Take care, all. God bless you and a big Aloha to everyone.
    Sylvain.

But then I haven't done either and who knows, I might like the swamp. Jen, the time is flying now. I will work from Tuesday to Tuesday starting next week and that means it will really get by. Nice to "see" you, Sylvain, your upcoming trip sounds wonderful, please post us some of your fabulous photos when you return. Golly, Senor Frogs huh? Hope you make it back to the boat in one piece!
As of yet there are no plans for Kahoolawe. It is going to take YEARS to clear the land of military junk and to plant so that the rain comes back to the island. There has been talk about it becoming a native Hawaiian island only, there has also been talk of building an authentic settlement where Hawaiians live as they did in the old days - and to SHIP TOURISTS OVER for daily look-see trips. I hope never to see that happen, but big business seems to get it's own way here, and they seem bent on destroying every last piece of beauty they can get their hands on for the almighty buck. Hopefully the Hawaiian Nation will stand firm on this one.
LOL Chris, work makes time fly! I have Laurie and Brian coming on the 22nd for almost a week so I'll just have time to wash the sheets!
Off to work, have a wonderful day everyone.

HAHAHAHA WE DO..."Aloha" is a major part of our vocabulary/life. Like "Yokwe" is for Sheri. So is the kiss on the cheek when we say it to eachother, when we meet and greet eachother.

Aloha is so much more than a greeting! It is a mind-set, a way of life! As is Yokwe. I suppose you might compare it to the Texas "Howdy", or Australian "g'day", both being an attitude of hospitality and friendliness...But both Aloha and Yokwe carry an impression of a slow warmth, that takes a bit of time to seep into ones pores and fiddle around in the genes until the whole psyche takes on an attitude of "ai ta paya paya"...Tahitian for chaka, hang loose, no worries... this or that will still be this or that tomorrow, and right now there is a glorious sunrise to check out. Aloha!

LOL - that's about as close as I can come...what bothers me is the attitude of so many mainlanders that the Marshallese people (and maybe Hawaiians too, for that matter), are lazy and stupid because they move so slowly and laugh so much. I can't seem to convince them that when you live so close to the equator, and your food sources either fall from the trees or jump from the ocean, moving slowly is a survival trait. As for laughing too much, I am astonished that anyone can think there is such a thing as "too much"! These are some of the hardest working people I know, they just have their own schedule which has very little to do with calendars or clocks, and they see the humor in every little thing. I admire that attitude very much.

Asi, asi chica...y tu? New phrase for the day: mas que muchisimo = more than all the mosts. My father used to put us to bed saying that he loved us "mas que muchisimo", the phrase became a family saying for anything "outstanding". My husband liked it so much, that he started collecting the phrase in other languages, much like our collection of chaka. Our Israeli friends tried to tell us that there wasn't something like that in Hebrew - so JB made one up - metsuyan meode, and they loved it.

So, I love you guys mas que muchisimo!

OK... Everyone sitting down, eyes closed, relaxed? Wait...eyes OPEN!!!

The HA (breathe out of your mouth gently, as if to push love out...like a sigh when you see a beautiful flower) is the breath of the 'soul'...the breath passing your spirit from your 'inside'. When breathed into the ear of whom you are greeting with Alo - ha when you touch cheeks, you are passing your love/spirit/soul to that person... Part of the belief that we are everywhere and in everyone we meet through our "hA"... Somewhere (I can't find it now) I have a wonderful little book about the 'Ha' and how to meditate with it and all that it entails... So that is what *****Aloha****** is. (I found the book... Basic exercises are to start with the phrase 'keia "HA" no' which means 'This breath is for...' and you add the word you want to meditate on..Love, Peace Happiness etc.)

Now...white man arrived on the islands, all covered with clothes and shook hands with eachother. No embracing. No passing of 'Ha'...and the islanders were quite taken aback. So, the white strangers were called "Ha a'ole" (a'ole means NO)...or No Ha (No sprit, No breath, No soul). That then became Haole, which is what a person without Aloha is referred to...these days it can be anyone but usually refers to caucasion).

So...there you have it. Aloha Kakou (Love to us all)

One of my friends is a boat captain and she has just come in to the office to tell me that they came across a whale shark out in the ocean this morning. All the crew and most of the passengers went over the side and swam with it for half an hour or so. Quite unusual to see a whale shark in our waters, especially so close in. Ten minutes later a whale and calf came right up to the stern and stayed with the boat for 15 or 20 minutes. She was glowing! She took pictures so I am hoping she will bring them in to show me.

We've had some kind of leaf spot on the hardy hibiscus this year! Any suggestions? Is that considered a fungus?

I have a fungucide...I'll have to check it and see if it covers leaf spot. I removed the leaves, trashed them, and pruned it back a ways. It looks better. One has put out new leaves already, and so far OK.

    Hi, everyone.

Hide the sugarless chocolate and the dancing young girls: I'm back. As a matter of fact, I returned yesterday morning. We had a great time. I thought I'd share this picture of Pierre and I (on the right) as we boarded the ship last Sunday.

It's taken in front of a green screen. The ship's photographers then electronically set up the ship's picture against the background. At that rate, we could have been seen standing in front of the Taj Mahal, the Great Wall of China or in front of a house of ill repute in Amsterdam. Ain't technology great?

    Take care, all.

Sylvain, waiting for photos (especially of your evening at Senor Frogs). Hope all is well with you.

The little Tabernaemontana has just had it's first bloom. It has the most glorious smell, no wonder Carol was going to do air layering! IMO it is the best smelling flower in the garden, bar none, and I go in for sweet smelling plants! Also, as Carol says, the plant file pictures of Tab. don't look like my flower either.

Oh, BHM... the idea of dawn breaking over Kihei with boats setting sail out on the ocean. You have a way with words, darling. You set me a-daydreaming for a bit there. You describe it well. One of these days, I'll hop on a plane and go stand on a street corner in Kihei with a sign saying: Looking for BHM! What can I say, I was smitten by the islands.

As far as Senor Frog is concerned, we went, we conquered and we left. If the place got any rowdier, it would a bawdy house. I'm too old for that crowd: teenagers doing lascivious dancing with the waiters, New Year's countown every hour on the hour and overly sweet drinks being poured directly into your mouth. I'm a diabetic, for Montezuma's sake! We had quite a few Coronas, danced with the girls from our ship, joined a conga line and returned to the ship where we smoked a cigar on the fantail with a few too many gins & tonic. Ain't cruising fun?

The pictures are almost ready. I'll start posting them soon.

Yes, the cruise lines rent islands for 50 or 100 years from the government of the Bahamas. Essentially, they are beaches. They build showers, bathrooms, picnic tables, bring in beach chairs, umbrellas. Nobody lives there. The ship's staff bring everything ashore they'll need for the day: drinks, food, sports equipment, etc. A day at the private island is basically a day at the beach. It's fun but in the Bahamas, you often get jellyfish. Once stung by a jellyfish, you learn quickly to not go anywhere near water when they are reported. One had better find a palm tree's shade, order a couple beers and watch the wildlife parading by.

Here I am at Senor frog's.

You ladies are just plain too kind. Mahalo, mahalo nui loa.

Christi, have you started counting the days yet? I have a friend who starts counting about 3 weeks before a cruise. She goes to bed early and gets up late so the time will seem to go by quicker. She's nuts, I tell you.

We're leaving again on a cruise on February 9th, from Miami. I'm glad we're going but I can't say that I'm as excited as when we started cruising. This will be our 3rd trip on that particular ship (Norwegian Sun). Needless to say, we love that ship.

I know I have said this before but I truly AM itching to get back to Hawai'i. I feel like I have left a part of me out there last May. What can I say, I want to buy more Israel Kamakamiwo'ole CDs. I figure early in 2009, Gail and I could swing by for at least 2 back-to-back cruises and have a bit of a stay on the islands before facing the 12-hour airplane trip back. That's the part Gail dreads: the airplane trip. We're facing the same ordeal when we return from Rome in May. We'll survive.

    Take care, all.

Good morning, Sylvain. The orchid is exquisite. I'm getting all jittery now. All of a sudden the time is flying. Leaving on the 13th. Considering moving bedtime up a little because the 5 hours difference would put me sleepy at all the wrong times. Can't imagine becoming jaded about a cruise. However, we do have a 35' motorhome sitting beside the house because I no longer am interested in that style of travel after over 40 years of rv one way or another. Hope you both enjoy yourselves and enjoy that business of being "waited on".

Words to live by from Braddah Iz.

    Almost Heaven, West Makaha,
    High-ridge mountain, crystal-clear blue water.
All my friends there hanging on da beach,
    Young and old among them,
    Feel the ocean breeze.

Christi, you have just got to get us a picture of your outfit before you go. But be warned: you will leave a tiny part of yourself there somewhere in the islands. It will call your name and beckon you back relentlessly after you return to the mainland.

Polar Bear travel tips for Hawai'i:
    A) If you ever get lost on any of the islands, just take highway/road/boulevard Kamehameha and you'll be back on track in no time. Actually, if you stop the car and open a map, someone will come knock on your car's window and ask if you need help. That happened to me in Waimanalo and again in Nawiliwili.

    B) You can't swing a pineapple in Hawai'i without hitting a botanical garden. In the end, that poor pineapple was pretty beat up but we saw such wonders, it was worth the heavily bruised fruit. Enjoy the bountiful nature and ultra-favorable growing conditions: Almost Heaven...

    C) Enjoy the wonderful people over there. Hawai'i has got to be the friendliest place on earth. You'll have such a wonderful time.

That little part of me that was left behind keeps calling me back. Gail is the same. We are aiming to return to Hawai'i in 2009 IF Gail can make the trip. A small word like "if" can make such a huge difference in our lives. Carpe diem: seize the day. Lost time is not given back, alas.

I send you a grey hibiscus for your hair.
    Take care.

The group anticipation has made this dream even more amazing. Jen's invitation is still making my heart beat faster. We have many friends who have been to Hawaii, some more than once. They are very blasaie (sp) as in "no big deal". It is a HUGE DEAL to Mike and I. We live in a so-called cosmopolitan city and are exposed to culture of all kinds, much of which we take advantage. This is so different to us. It is, as Sylvain so eloquently describes, the joy of the people. That starts with all of you who are so gracious and excited for us. Of course, Jenny, Frank and her Mum are already considered family. Then Carol, going out of her way to join us for several days. The ISLAND AND ITS PEOPLE. We shall look just like the tourist that we are costumed in such a way to look local making us look even more out of place. Not to worry, part of the anticipation. Jen is so thoughtful about everything, even a pc hookup. Well, don't look for me too much that week. I shall be living the adventure and will chronicle it for later. Now, close your eyes as we touch cheeks...Aloha Kakou

Assume that this is a statue that is somehow attached to the ocean floor, is that so? Sparks the imagination.

It is a bronze statue that is firmly anchored to the bottom. She stands 10 feet tall along the submarine's path. Her outstretched hand seems to tell visitors to go away.

This morning, I thought I'd share this picture of myself in front of a small submarine that has been sitting there in Georgetown, Grand Cayman for a very long time. I always make it a point to have myself photographed in front of it when I am there. I must have 6 or 7 such pictures chronicling my various hair styles or lack thereof since the last 17 years.

That's a good idea. I love series of pictures. Over the last 40 years I have had various colors of hair and various degrees of fluffy. One year when we looked at all the years of Christmas pictures, it was hard to recognize the blond, redhead, frosted, auburn, grey, thin, not so thin, not thin at all person that kept showing up every year always in a different costume. hahaha

Christi, I wish I could! I'm not well enough to try to travel at this time, plus my Mom has been ill for several months. She is kind of frail, and we are the only ones here in the area to help take care of her. She has COPD and can go from bad to worse in just a matter of hours. I won't be making a long trip for sometime, but I can still dream. I have pictures of the islands on my computer. I put them in view slides and turn on Bruddah IZ and dream. DS also made me a DVD with Hawaiian pictures and music to remind me of the wonderful years that we had on Oahu! Maybe another time! But "Thanks"!

I know what you mean, TXgal77... That is kinda the reason Gail and I are traveling so much all of a sudden. Mobility-wise, Gail is declining slowly but steadily. It can't get better. The best we can hope for is that her acute arthritis will remain stable for a while. We both know that one day, such dream vacations will be impossible. (SNIF)

Then, all we'll have will be vacation photos and our memories. Then, we will spend long evenings arguing about such things as: Where did we go to a luau? She'll say Oahu and I'll stick with Kauai. In reality, we were at a luau in Maui but nobody will be setting us straight. Oh, the joys of older age. What am I talking about? We do that now. Imagine what it will be like 20 years from now.

    Keep well and enjoy life.

As long as you have wonderful memories to share it's OK if the details get a little foggy. It's the thought that counts! Enjoy each other while you can!

My darlin one's memory is so bad, that I can weave great stories out of whole cloth and he'll sit and say - gosh, wasn't that a great vacation! Ha Ha! Not quite, but pretty darn close! We do have wonderful travel adventures though, and luckily the pictures to know that we didn't just dream the whole trip!

    Ah, but the dreams ...
