I overlooked a payoff date on an interest free for 1 year loan with Wells Fargo. I called as soon as I noticed and hoped to negotiate. They would only offer a 50% reduction on $2000 in interest on a $5800 balance. Can i do anything?

I am surprised they offered the 50% reduction. So many people don't pay on time that they really don't end up giving free interest. It sounds like you had a very high default interest rate.
Good luck with it. I hate to pay interest on anything.
I am also surprised they offered you any kind of reduction on the interest. The fine print in those agreements usually states you'll owe back interest from the beginning of the interest free period and maybe an extra fee. It's only interest free if you pay it off before the due date.
