Hi all! I know I haven't been in this forum for a while, but since it's winter here, and there are no butterflies or hummers, I've been hanging out in the bird watching forum.
As my daughter has become interested in bird watching along with butterfly raising, and brugmansias, all of which she learned about here, on DG, I was thinking that maybe it would be a good thing if DG offered a forum for teens, so that those who are already subscribed, and lurk, could have a common place to go to "talk" to their peers, trade information, develop friendships, etc. -- all the things that the adult DG'ers already share.
Initially, I thought having a forum for kids would be a good idea, but I was advised that by law, the minimum age to obtain a membership here is 13. So, the initial thought of a forum for kids was revised so that teens could have a forum.
If you think this is a good idea, please go to this thread and state your thoughts. [HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com]
Many thanks for you thought and consideration! :)
