Good article; especially the list of things some folk would not think of. What does your county agent think of using the dog do in your ornamental compost pile? Most shy away from it. I enjoyed your article. Thanks.

Linda, that's my lab/chow Bailey. She is 13 and still quite a pistol!

Peony - As far as I know, the Extension Service doesn't have an official position on composting dog poo. If asked, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't recommend it. :)

Wooohoo! Thanks for the info! With 2 big dogs that help "decorate" my backyard this could be a Godsend. I'm building a second bin 1st thing in the morning. LOL if this takes off I'm going to have the greenest yard in town!
