| Last year I received this beautiful large piece of glass as a Christmas gift..reason it was given was because depending on how you turn the sheet, various designs can be seen, i.e. waterfall, wolf, forest etc.
Was going to came it but when place near a window you loose the hidden designs..if put against the wall, just doesn't do it justice..
Any ideas what to do with it..keep storing it but am bound to break it..lol.. Click the image for an enlarged view.

| A solution, or opportunity, utilized by Jack Archibald, one of our well known artists on Camano Island is to feature it in an abstract window. Two of his are posted here. Click the image for an enlarged view.

| The second one. There are several more in his studio, all of which really showcase his foresight and artistry.

| wow...my only problem is as soon as you put the glass to light, you loose the wolves/waterfalls and all other found designs within the glass..guess I can't have it all ways..would need quite the window for these...lol..but could incorporate it into something similar..

| Betty~it's a gorgeous piece of glass; no wonder it's more difficult to decide what to do w/it. Is it a stained glass; or could it be used in a warm glass project? draped?
I received a beautiful piece of COE90 glass and it is framed, on the wall, waiting for the perfect project:)) or close to it:)

| Betty - Could you use this in either a room divider or a fire screen? It is beautiful.

| Kiska, the piece is so textures..absolutely love it..you can virtually imagine (or see) so many pictures within that I just hate to cut it up, problem as I said when you hang it beautiful but the scenes within are lost to the light...still going strong with the glass???
Katiebar..don't have a location for room divider, but who knows, perhaps a firescreen...will be checking when I get home from work..lol..

| Betty, how about framing it and putting it on the wall? You could frame it with a an opaque sheet of white paper behind it so it would have brightness behind it to show off the patterns without washing them out with actual light. If you still needed more brightness to show off the designs, maybe you could put a spot on it or one of those picture lights that attach right to the top of the frame? |

| hmm, got me thinking now..
With blizzards/high winds and -30's I spent the entire weekend playing with SG...did a set of dimentional butterflies for mom for Mother's Day and also finish the glass part of the 3' Blue heron ... so now it's onward to something else to use up all those scraps... |

| butterflies..will work on 4 more this weekend..you will note the colors..I used my saw, from what was left of one, it created the other..so minimized the amount of work involved in making them..soldered the wings at different positions so although the same butterfly, it looks different.
