Why don't light blubs last as long as they used to? Made in China?

You should try compact fluorescent bulbs, they are more energy efficient and last MUCH longer than regular bulbs.

I have a question about the compact fluorescents. You know how there is a "lag" in them when you first turn them on? Well, the one I had outside in my carport would flip the breaker from time to time during that lag period. I had to go back to incandescent out there. Is it a wiring problem? Will they ever make a bulb that won't have that "lag"?
