We received three emails this morning calling for us to create a new auctioning place based on the Dave's Garden system. I'd like some feedback from the sellers out there who are petitioning us here at DG to create this. Please discuss your ideas in this forum and let's see where this goes.
I like the idea!
I am in the auction business and conduct several live online auctions each year and can tell you that there is lots to be gained from such a forum. Not only is it a chance to pick-up a deal or two, but sellers are often rewarded very well also. Not to mention that if you have never bid at an auction it can be addicting (aka fun and exciting). Buying what you don't need at a great price only to resale in part or whole later. My auctions or not plant related however there is very little that I will not sell, if that it has good value that is.
For instance in March I am selling 20+ pallets of flag stone, rocks and large bolders which are part of a liquidation. I won't give the web address here unless I recieve permission from D.G. to do so.
Lets make this happen, I bet that like most things in DG it will be great.
