I want to build a path similar to the one in the picture. I want to use flagstone, loosely spaced with moss growing in between. I've read up on how to correctly lay down a flagstone path, and most resources say to put sand down and then the flagstone so that the stone sits flat and level. But I'm wondering how I would grow moss in sand, so should I just level the natural dirt and forget the sand? I'm so lost here!
