I greatly enjoyed your article, Lari Ann! It is thrilling to know you are experimenting and getting results from your hybridizing and investigations of specialized needs for plants (with much more scientific savvy than I could ever muster in my stabs at finding out what makes plants live or die!)
I want to be first in line for the biggest Alocasia you can create! The "elephant ears" are one of my favorite subjects for oil paintings, and a delight to grow.
LariAnn, you have inspired me. I've tried alocasias before but this year I've planted several different kinds. One is described as having gigantic leaves so my anticipation is similar to yours.
